Were bathrooms with toilets and tubs commonly in use in 1858 England?

Would it be plausible to have an old manor house, a couple hundred years old, that, in 1858 is being used as a boarding/finishing school, have working bathrooms, or would they still be hauling water from the kitchen?

On House Hunters International, in Spain and England they had an appliance in the kitchen that has a porthole window in it. I was assuming it was a dishwasher but have not been able to find one like it. What is it?

can i trust a contracting company with my sf 86?

I’m about to begin the process to get my secret clearance but I’m uneasy about the fact that I have to give my sf 86 to a recruiter that I barely know and has only worked with the company for 2 months. The company itself is credible btw.

If HELLS KITCHEN WAS FILMED IN US WHY IS ENDA FLYING TO ENGLAND?

What herbs/spices/veg can I in a sub-urban window and garden?

This is a really general question but my partner and I are really interested in knowing the answer to. We have bought a small house in North-East England with a north-ish facing garden, we would love to grow as much as feasibly possible in our tiny garden (not enough room for a full scale patch) and in our kitchen window. We want ideally to grow basic herbs and chillis, but have not a clue how. If anyone can leave some simple instructions for two non-green fingered fiends it would be greatly greatly appreciated, leave an address and we’ll send you a sample if it comes off!!!!

Cheers, Olly and Bex

What licenses do I need to start up a construction contracting company in Massachusetts?

Did we really ever win our freedom from England?

It seems they fight with us, or we fight with them in almost every war. It seems that we are the only two countries that have a high rate of broken families and domestic issues. It seems that we are the only two countries that like to invade and impose our lifestyle upon other countries. And it also seems that there is a new obsession with the English in the media and everywhere else. On the internet, I swear you find them in a lot of workshops, or even policing forums for proper grammar. But in the media, you have them all over the place. American Idol’s Simon, Who’s Got Talent’s, (well I forget his name, but he’s the British meanie on the panel of judges), So you Think You Can Dance’s (I forget his name too), Hell’s Kitchen’s Chef Ramsey, on Oprah Winfrey’s show (The Big Give) (I forget his name, but he’s also British, and he’s on the panel of judges), and now even the Bachelor is from England, in The Bachelor (London Calling). What’s with the new wave of British, English arrogance? Is America full of Masochists? Did we really win the revolutionary war?
