Hot Water tank replacement. It’s new but now it’s leaking again.?
I had my hot water tank replaced about 1.5 years ago but now it’s starting to leak again. Instead of leaking clear water it’s now leaking reddish water out of the bottom. Smells like rust. It’s a 60 gallon tank – brand new. Does anyone know whats causing this?

A high Iron content in your water can cause problems…When the water heats the iron deposits at the bottom and then starts to rust out the unit…one thing I would do is install a water filtration system to your water main line ( before it goes into the water heater…This will help it making the next one last a lot longer…..
