we just got a new walk way to my house and i believe it is sandstone.. the contractor said, what ever you do, do not put sand or salt to melt the ice… and you cant use metal edged shovels either.

there is about an inch of ice now and its not going away anytime soon, i live in new england !

so how should i melt the ice…
is there any at home mixtures that could work?!
does anyone else have this problem?
