I live in RI and am a 1099 contractor in mass. Do I pay the quarterly tax to RI or MA (1040-ES)?
I work a 1099 contractor job in RI and just picked up a 1099 in massachusetts. I know how to file the 1040-ES for the federal tax, but when it comes to the state level, do I pay to mass or ri or both?
Thanks

Work is sourced by where you make it.
If you physically do work in MA, you must file a non-resident return in Mass.
You will file 100% of your income in RI and take a credit for taxes paid to MA.
Your federal return won’t change.
