Are apartments in London, England expensive?

im 18 years old and me and my girlfriend are saving up money to move to london, were first going to finish college though so we still have like 4 years to go which gives us enough time to save up, just like a decent little apartment 1 bedroom 1 bath small kitchen. anywhere in london.

Did we really ever win our freedom from England?

It seems they fight with us, or we fight with them in almost every war. It seems that we are the only two countries that have a high rate of broken families and domestic issues. It seems that we are the only two countries that like to invade and impose our lifestyle upon other countries. And it also seems that there is a new obsession with the English in the media and everywhere else. On the internet, I swear you find them in a lot of workshops, or even policing forums for proper grammar. But in the media, you have them all over the place. American Idol’s Simon, Who’s Got Talent’s, (well I forget his name, but he’s the British meanie on the panel of judges), So you Think You Can Dance’s (I forget his name too), Hell’s Kitchen’s Chef Ramsey, on Oprah Winfrey’s show (The Big Give) (I forget his name, but he’s also British, and he’s on the panel of judges), and now even the Bachelor is from England, in The Bachelor (London Calling). What’s with the new wave of British, English arrogance? Is America full of Masochists? Did we really win the revolutionary war?

England has already banned guns, given this story, should they ban knives?

The story is about a high profile murder in London. One of the actors in the Harry Potter series was killed by a man with two kitchen knives. Banning guns in England has clearly not stopped the killing, so should they now ban knives in the name of public safety?

Of course, they could just ban assault knives, you know, the ones with points and sharp edges.

Just to direct traffic to the question:

What would Obama, Reid, or Pelosi do?
Guerrilla Sauce is of course correct, guns are not totally banned in England. Having said that, they are so totally controlled that the likely hood of anyone having one outside of a range make it from a practical sense a total ban.

For some of the rest of you, please note that knife crime is on a steady rise in England, and this killing is not an isolated incident.
